SSS Tips
A lot of the recent hard earned points lost here as -2 over Tuesday and Wednesday. Possibly looking too hard. Swansea won 1-0, Ipswich beat Southampton 2-0 so didn't make the over 2.5 line and Aston Villa beat Blackburn 4-0. Hope to get some back this weekend.

SSS Tips

Blackburn v Aston Villa (weds 19:45)

Looking at the console for this game the one thing that struck me was how even they both are. Villa's only defeat on the road came at Man City where everyone has lost this season, also they have lost once in the last 8 and that was against Man Utd. Blackburn have only lost against Portsmouth at Ewood Park who have an excellent away record. With 2 evenly matched hard to beat sides I think the draw is a good bet.
++ Draw @ 9/4 on Bet365/Betfred/VC (1/2pt)

Ipswich v Southampton (tues 19:45)

One of those games that just sticks out. The over 2.5 chart is nearly all over 2.5 for Ipswich at home (6/7) and Souuthampton away (8/8). So in 15 games this season for either of these team it would only lose once!
++ Over 2.5 @ 8/11 on Stan James/Blue Sq (1pt)

Swansea v Hartlepool (tues 19:45)

A more risky bet here. On the correct score chart there's a little cluster around the 2-0 and 2-1 mark. 2 of Swanseas 7 home games have ended 2-1 and 3 of Hartlepools 8 away. Think it deserves half a point.
++ Swansea 2-1 @ 7/1 across the board (1/2pt)

2 points staked in total

SSS Tips
A small profit on the weekend. Sunderland got pasted by Evrton but still managed to beat them on the corners 6-2 (+0.9), Man City beat Reading with a last minute goal but Reading equalised just before HT so that bet was a loser (-1), Dundee beat Hamilton 1-0 (-0.5) and finally Bochum beat Bielefeld 3-0 landing the over 2.5 goals bet (+.075) making a profit of +0.15.

Bets 15, Wins 10, Points staked 14.5, Profit +7.23

Spinner Rinse
Not just a case of hitting the bar here but more of hitting both posts and the ball rolling across the line and then out of play. All games won on Saturday leaving Chester at Wrexham on Sunday and despite leading twice Chester were pegged back to draw.

Accumulators 5, Profit -5

NOTES

All the data has been updated. There are some midweek games in the championship so possibly some bets. Have some nice ideas for next weekend too!

SSS Tips

Everton v Sunderland

Corners again. I think that the promoted teams often get under quoted on the corner betting and I hope I have an example. Everton have a big +2 handicap to beat against Sunderland. The only way this loses is with Everton getting 3 more than Sunderland and last season and this at Goodison they managed that 8 of 25 times. Last season Sunderland would have lost that bet only once and this season have won the corner match bet at Brum, West Ham, Wigan and Man City and only lost at Boro, Arsenal and Man Utd (the latter two is no disgrace). 2 is a big handicap and I hope it's too much for Everton.
++ Asian handicap corners - Sunderland +2 @ 1.9 on Bet365 (1pt)

I'll try the HT/FT combination again this week. I select all these by looking at the HT pie charts as sometimes they show a good pattern.

Manchester City v Reading

Reading have been down at HT in 5/6 games away and City leading at HT in 4/7 at home. You have to fancy City to win again at home (7 out of 7) and the quote of City/City HT/FT at 6/4 looks very generous.
++ Man City/Man City HT/FT @ 6/4 on Stan James and Paddy Power (1pt)

Dundee v Hamiton

This is the only game in the Scottish First Division but Hamilton are 6 points ahead of Dundee and althugh the play away they've been ahead in 5/6 games away and gone on to win 3 of them. They also beat Dundee 2-0 at home and the price is very high.
++ Hamilton/Hamilton HT/FT @ 9/2 on Ladbrokes (1/2pt)

Also some over 2.5 games stood out. Celtic in particlular for the whole season have been over 2.5 in 11/12 games so even odds of 1/2 looks decet but another game also caught my eye

Bochum v Armenia Bielefeld

It's quite simple as 5/6 Bochum home games have been over 2.5 and it's the same numbers for the Bielefeld away games.
++ Over 2.5goals @ 1.75 on Bet365 (1pt)

3.5 points staked this weekend.

Spinner Rinse

In the rinse we have Pompey to win at Brimingham (Prem),  Swansea to win at Tranmere (Lge 1), Rotherham to beat Shrewsbury and Chester to beat Wrexham in the local clash (lge 2) and Roma to win at Genoa

Monday Round Up (Week 4)

SSS Tips
Another profitable weekend.
Portsmouth won the corner bet giving a profit on 1.8 but the HT/FT bets just had one winner. I have noted that I forgot to add in the price for the one winning game which was Valenciennes v Caen but it was 3 or over as I wrote one winner will return a profit. I will settle this bet at 3.0 giving a return of 0 on the HT/FT bets and 1.8 on the weekend.

Bets 11, Wins 8, Points staked 11, Profit +7.08

Spinner Rinse
2 out of 4 in the rinse this weekend but we were let down by Atletico
Madrid and Rennes at Bordeaux. The over 2.5 bet won and the both teams to score bet in the thriller between Villareal and Sevilla.

Accumulators 4, Profit -4

Week 4 Bets (10.11.07)

SSS Tips

Portsmouth v ManCity
Corners again this week and opposing
ManCity again too. It's the handicap with Portsmouth -2, -2.5 which is pretty big but I think they can do it. Looking at last season and this pompey would win this 13/24 with 2 x 1/2 void games as well, but if you drop games v the big 4 you get 13/18 wins and 1 x half void thrown in. You also have to go back to the 9th December to find the last time this would lose. ManCity have had 19 corners in 6 away games this season and in the last 16 away games would have won this bet once with 2 half voids. It warrants a 2 pointer.
++ Asian handicap corners -
Portsmouth -2, -2.5 @ 1.9 on Bet365 (2pt)

This weekend I am propsoing 3 Half time/Full time bets (all 1/2 point) and just one coming in will net a profit. I used the half time pie charts to help me decide what to choose and have the following:

Sheffield Wednesday v Southampton
5 of Wednesday's home games have seen them losing at half time and for Southampton it's 5 of 8 as wins at half time. The odds of 5 are widely available for this and I think it's worth a look.
++ Southampton/Southampton HT/FT @ 5 on most (1/2pt)

Valenciennes v CaenCaen don't let in many goals but so far his season have not led at half time. Valenciennes have never been losing at half time and half were wins and half draws and every time they led at half time they went on to win and every time Caen were losing at half time (60%) they went on to lose
++ Valenciennes/Valenciennes HT/FT @  on Blue Sq/Paddy/Coral (1/2pt)

Real Betis v Real Zaragoza
Here we're looking for something different. The pie chart shows neither team has been leading at half time and both have drawn 3 of 5 home/away games at half time. Neither team has solid form and has no pattern but
Zaragoza are the better team and hope they can show that on Sunday.
++ Draw/Zaragoza HT/FT @ 6 on several (6.4 on extrabet) (1/2pt)

Spinner Rinse
The new member of the rinse family seems to have settled in well and this weekend he has chosen Over 2.5 goals in the Billericay v Swansea FA cup game (1.7), Athletico Madrid to win at Almeria (2.0), the double chance on Rennes to win at Bordeaux (2.62) and in the Villareal v Sevilla game its the goal/no goal market and both teams to score (1.62). Only Bet365 have these markets but if they all come in .....
++ 14.87 @ bet365.

Midweek Round Up (Week 3.5)

SSS Tips
Another bet landed as
Preston and Leicester drew 1-1. Only one league game on Wednesday so no tips but more at the weekend.

Bets 7, Wins 6, Points staked 7.5, Profit +5.28

Midweek 3.5 (06.11.07)

SSS Tips

Sunderland did the business on the corners beating ManCity 3-2 in a very low scoring encounter. City don't seem to have too many corners under Sven and that meant the 2 pointer was landed for a profit of 1.7 pts

Bets 6, Points staked 6.5, Profit +4.58

Midweek SSS Tips

Preston v Leicester
This game stuck out as I used the console because of the colours on the over/under 2.5 goal chart. Only 1 of
Leicester's 6 away games has been over 2.5 and 2 of Preston's home matches. On October 2nd Preston beat Southampton 5-1 at home and taking that away there have been 6 goals in the other 6 home matches.++ Under 2.5 goals @ 1.7 on Bet365/Sporting Bet (1pt)

Monday Round Up (Week 3)

SSS Tips
QPR beat
Hull 2-0 so the under 2.5 bet was landed. The over under charts on the site make these bets easy to find and there were 3 others I really liked and there will be more of these to come. Espanyol dissapointed against Santander and needed a last minute penalty to draw 1-1. A small profit on the weekend so far of +0.25 with the corner bet still to come.

Bets 5, Points staked 4.5, Profit +2.88

Spinner Rinse
A bad weekend in the rinse with 2 draws and a loss. These will keep coming though and hopefully will turn the corner.

Accumulators 3, Profit -3

Week 3 Bets (03.11.07)

SSSTips

ManCity v Sunderland
Corners again this week and
Sunderland again too in the Monday night game. When I looked at this game I really hoped to see ManCity with a decent handicap and they have been given -2. I hope I am right as I think this is very wrong. In the championship last season Sunderland would have lost this bet once (at West Brom), and although this season they have been beaten 3 times away on corners once was at manyoo and once was at Arsenal and the other was at Boro who are getting a lot of corners. If we take ManCity this season and last we have 25 home games they would have won this handicap 8 times, this season they would never have won and you have to go back 10 games to find the last time they did manage it. Not many games are 2 point bets but think this warrants it.
++ Asian handicap corners -
Sunderland +2 @ 1.85 on Bet365 (2pt)

QPR v Hull
Looking through matches this game struck me for the under 2.5 statstic first. The you see the half time draw possibility and also the amount of times the have been 0-0 at half time. Any of these could come in but I'll play safe (I hope) on under 2.5.
++ Under 2.5 goals @ 1.75 on Bet365 (1pt)

Racing Santander v Espanyol
This is a funny game as we have a team at home that has had all games under 2.5 goals and a team away with all games over 2.5. I see more Spanish football than anything and Espanyol seem a very good side and capable fo winning this. Raul Tamudo and Luis Garcia weren't firing against
Murcia midweek but hopefully will on Sunday. The half time pie shows that Espanyol have been ahead in 4 of the 5 games. I am going to hope that continues and take the half time-full time bet of Espanyol-Espanyol.
++ Espanyol-Espanyol @ 5.5 on Bet Direct/Stan James (1/2pt)

Spinner Rinse
A lighter load in the rinse this week as there's a new member of the rinse family. The three for this weekend are Osasuna to beat
Getafe in Spain, Rennes to beat Monaco in France and Parma to beat Siena
++ Bet365 have a nice price which we'll take of 7.45 @ bet365.

Monday Round Up (Week 2)

SSS Tips
Well another good weekend for the SSS tips as Sunderland easily made the corner handicap beating Fulham 9 to 1 and then we had the bonus of the over 2.5 goals in the Burnley v Southampton game come in as that finished with a 3-2 away win for George Burley's men.

Bets 3, Points staked 3, Profit +2.63

Spinner Rinse
Spinner rinse was unlucky and these accumulators are definately a long term thing. He had 2 wins and 3 draws but looks to be on the right track.

Accumulators 2, Profit -2

Week 2 Bets (27.10.07)

SSS Tips
Sunderland v Fulham
Initially looking at this game it was the fact that in the corner bar Fulham have a very small percentage (25% of total corners) when they play away. The handicap is -1.5, -2 for Sunderland and they would have half won that against Liverpool this season and lost one other and won twice.
Liverpool are not a bad corner scalp and makes me think Sunderland may make a good proportion of the match bets. In the 24 games since Keane took over this bet would only have lost 7 times.Fulham would have win this bet 9 of 23 last season and this but this season have had 4, 3, 4 and 4 corners away and if they even get 5 it means Sunderland need 7 to win which they did in 5 of the last 6 home games.
++ Asian handicap corners -
Sunderland -1.5, -2 @ 1.9 on Bet365 (1pt)

Burnley v Southampton
I was scrolling through games looking at over/under 2.5 and the chart stopped me as I hit this game. Every
Southampton away game has been over 2.5 and 4 of Burnleys 5 home games have been. Probability says this can't continue but in the 23 matches they have played between both have kept a clean sheet only once.
++ Over 2.5 goals @ 1.83 on Stan James (1pt)

Spinner Rinse
A right mixed bag in the rinse this weekend. He has gone for
Walsall away at Bournemouth (lge 1), Hertha Berlin at home to Bochum, Hamburger to win at Duisburg (both Bundelsiga), Inter Milan to win in Palermo (Serie A) and Osasuna at home to beat Valladolid (Spain).
++ The best odds for this is expekt but we'll take the 2nd price of 32.18 @ bet365.

Week 1 Bets (20.10.07)

Spinner Rinse
west ham,
valencia, hamburg, nancy and histon - There were no odds for this selection overall but nancy drew 1-1 and were the only team not to achieve the win.

Accumulators 1, Profit -1

SSS Tips

The first bet here was a corners bet on Wigan v Portsmouth
The handicap is even in this and I think that makes
Wigan the value. Last season and this they lost the handicap 9 of 23 times at home which is pretty decent but then if you take out games against the big 4 you find they only lost 4 of 18 games. Pompey away last season and this lost the handicap 19 of 24.
++ Asian handicap corners -
Wigan (0) @ 1.9 on Bet365 (1pt)

Bets 1, Points staked 1, Profit +0.9
